Standards / FAQs
- Families/Community/Environment Standards
- Here are Teenie Tots we strive to build lasting relationships with all children and their families, as well as the community around us by getting them involved in activities throughout the year. We also do this by ensuring families that we welcome them in class with their children anytime they can get away from work. We have webcams to keep families informed during the day as well for those who can't make it to the center.
- Curriculum
·
We
only have developmentally and age appropriate curriculums for each age group of
our center.See our daily schedule for more information on how the children will
learn.
3. Teaching/Assessments
·
Teachers
use assessments to help you see your child's progress throughout the year as
well. These assessments will consist of observations with checklists and
a portfolio for you to see the things they have completed in class.
4. Health/Nutrition
·
We
have policies and procedures in place to help ensure you that the health of
your child is just as important to us as well. We have these in place so
that sick children do not come to school putting other children at risk. We
also follow the national guidelines to healthy eating in all of our meal
planning.
5.
Teachers
·
When
it comes to our teachers we ensure they have the resources they need readily
available for their teaching purposes.
- Are visitors allowed in the classroom at any time?
- Yes. We have an open door policy and welcome families to come visit our classrooms any time they want. We also have webcams in every room and with a password you are able to view from your work if you are unable to attend in person. This is a great way to get out of town / state families involved in your child's education. (Relationships/Families)
- Does the community ever get involved in your center?
- Yes. We welcome community into our center for events and as guest speakers. Some examples of this would be local groups and clubs that would share their information to let you know what is out there to get your child involved in if that is something you would like to do. We also have a local dentist that comes in twice a year and does free check-ups on each child with a permission slip. We have various events such as these throughout the year. (Health/Community/Families)
- How do you keep our children protected throughout the day?
- We have a state of the art security system that no one can enter through without a security code. This code will be handed out to each family the day they make their first full month payment. Till that has happened, please ring the door bell and someone from the office will be with you shortly. (Physical Environment)
